Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what rights you have over it. It applies to barnabyandrews.com and is written to be plain and direct, in keeping with the way I work.

Who this is

This site is operated by Barnaby Andrews, based in Sydney, Australia. For any privacy question or request, contact info@barnabyandrews.com.

What I collect

I collect personal data only where you choose to provide it, through two channels on this site:

  • Booking a call. If you book a meeting through the Calendly link on this site, Calendly collects your name, email address, and any details you choose to add. This is governed by Calendly's own privacy policy as well as this one.
  • Newsletter signup. If you submit your email through the newsletter form, it is collected and stored via Netlify Forms (this site's hosting provider) so I can send you updates.

I do not use cookies for advertising or tracking, and there is currently no analytics or third-party tracking software running on this site.

Why I collect it

  • To schedule and conduct the call you've requested.
  • To send newsletter updates to people who've asked for them.
  • To respond if you've contacted me directly.

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party, for any reason.

Where it's stored

Booking data is stored by Calendly. Newsletter signups are stored via Netlify. Both are reputable third-party providers with their own security and privacy practices, and your data is subject to their respective policies in addition to this one.

How long I keep it

I retain newsletter and booking data for as long as it's needed for the purpose it was collected, or until you ask me to delete it — whichever comes first.

Your rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or equivalent local law. These can include the right to:

  • Ask what personal data I hold about you.
  • Ask me to correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask me to delete your data.
  • Ask me to restrict or object to how your data is used.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Australia, the OAIC; in the EU/UK, your relevant supervisory authority).

To exercise any of these, email info@barnabyandrews.com and I'll respond directly, usually within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with how a complaint has been handled, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) on 1300 363 992 or at enquiries@oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects or how it's used changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.

This page is a plain-language privacy policy reflecting what this website actually collects at the time of writing. It is not legal advice. If you require a policy formally reviewed for compliance with GDPR, the Australian Privacy Act, or any other jurisdiction's requirements, please have it reviewed by a qualified solicitor before relying on it.
